An addition to C & W Ohlde this summer was the addition of South Devons and the herd sire BC Prince. BC Prince is a DLC Royal Lad son raised by Big Country Beef Genetics in Montana. His dam Cimarron Sunrise 377 at the age of 14 is still a productive female with 12 progeny to her credit. Look for Prince to moderate frame size, add muscle, fleshing ability, put a big foot on progeny and make outstanding females. Beyond 623 ET was purchased as an embryo lot from Fink Beef Genetics of Manhattan as an opportunity to add some carcass genetics. 623 is sired by the Marbling sire Eaton’s Beyond 7243, his dam WCR Miss Impressive 945P (D040 X 4020) has been a productive donor in the FINK program. 623 was in the Green Springs Bull Test, at mid test he was gaining 5.4 lbs/day. A limited numbers of females were exposed to him this spring, look forward to the arrival of his calves.
