Several years back I was looking to step up our program, by purchasing embryos from proven matings. While looking at embryos at the Rick Hale dispersal, I decided to buy the factory instead. H149 has turned out to be a great investment for me. The progeny from her have all done well, in the 2004 Kansas Beef Expo we sold a Rainmaker ET heifer for $2,500. This year we have the first Rainmaker son on the ground and he is turning out to be moderate, thick and great dispositioned. He will be on display at the 2006 Kansas Beef Expo and then sold at the 2007 Iowa Beef Expo with a flush sister. Unfortunately H149 lost her calf this spring so she went back into transplant at Cross Country Genetics North. Flushes this year have yielded 14 and 13 embryos on two flushes with a third flush to take place first of December of 06.
