Donor Prospects

Keeping quality animals is a must for the cattleman looking to grow his herd. We have selected a few top females for donor prospects. Both of these animals have what we are looking for when putting together a great cow: maternal, moderate and efficient. We will be looking forward to their first flush in the coming fall.

This good looking female is a part of Taylor’s growing cowherd and she has a lot of great things going for her. Her sire is LT Assertion 1277 P owned by the Lindskov-Theil Ranch of Isabel, SD and Morgan Harris. LT Assertion 1277 began making his mark as a sire when his second calf crop hit sale and show rings. In 2005, the young sire held the high-averaging sale group in the 2005 Lindskov-Thiel Sale at over $8,500 and the Reserve Grand Champion Bred & Owned Female at the 2005 Junior Nationals. Recently two Assertion progeny were named the AICA Show Female and AICA Show Bull of the Year. Assertion’s first daughters in production at Lindskov-Thiel averaged 110.5 for weaning index on their calves. Her dam is a deep bodied, easy fleshing female off of Fancy Creek Charolais from Randoph, KS. This female is a good example of what we are looking to produce our Charolais side and we are really looking forward seeing her progeny.
